About the role

We have a brand new opportunity to join our Data Protection, Information Security & Technology, Supplier Assurance, Business Continuity and Group Insurances (DISC) team as a Trainee Risk Intelligence Analyst. Within this highly valued team, you will bring a new skillset through analysing data and using your proactive insight to help inform decision making.

With experts across the business to learn from and scope within the team to add value in a unique way, you’ll bring an essential skillset to our DISC team.


This role will have a particular focus on the risks associated to using data. You can expect the following tasks:


  • Taking complex data and presenting it in a customer friendly format

  • Creating, maintaining and managing data and MI tools

  • Designing and building data management and analysis tools using a variety of software such as SQL, PowerBI, Excel, Sharepoint, Power Automate and Power Apps.

  • Developing and designing risk frameworks and policies

  • Carrying out second line assurance reviews

  • Ability to collate, analyse and report data in an appropriate way to different customers.

  • Recognise areas where process improvements can be made and implement them.

  • Excellent organisational skills to ensure internal and external deadlines are met.

  • Strong communication skills to encourage stakeholders to adopt different ways of working

  • Ability to read and digest substantial regulatory/industry (or similar) publications, identifying and interpreting the key elements.

  • Have a positive attitude and plenty of ambition and drive to add value.
