The Role

As our student numbers increase and we continue to diversify our programmes and portfolio, we are looking for high-calibre individuals to join our team at the following campuses:

Our Visa Quality and Compliance Officers are new roles within the Student Immigration Compliance and Advice team, the successful candidates will be providing proactive UKVI compliance guidance and support to business activities and key departments on campus in implementing all policies and processes concerning our visa sponsor duties to the Home Office. This includes maintaining up-to-date audit trails and records for all international students registered at the campus.
Please note: you must have experience of Tier 4/Student Route compliance in an education setting.
We are looking for an individual with cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to use own initiative to complete complex tasks and strong written and verbal communication skills.
As a Visa Quality and Compliance Officer, your duties will include:
- Supporting with internal visa compliance audits – ensuring campuses understand the requirements and supporting with any queries
- Carrying out post-enrolment checks to ensure that all documentation has been captured at enrolment in line with Home Office regulations.
- Participate in student welcome and orientation activities, working with Visa Advice to deliver sessions to students ensuring they are aware of any UKVI rules and restrictions, permitted work rights etc.
- Be the point of escalation for visa related queries and document checks during enrolment of international visa sponsored students on campus
We are looking for people who are/have:
- Experience of Tier 4/Student Route compliance, with experience of managing record and information systems within an education setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues across different areas of the University.
- Ability to understand and follow complex regulations and processes.
- Excellent IT and Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of working with international students.
