About The Role
Working Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Contract Type: Fixed Term - 12 months
We are looking to appoint a Trainee Legal Officer to the Regulatory and Enforcement Team to case manage straightforward prosecutions including littering and school nonattendance and provide advice to clients in both Manchester and Salford City Councils on evidence and legal processes associated with the same.

This role is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks such as work permit and two references, one must be from your current or most recent employer.
About the Candidate
- You will have either previous experience working in a fast paced legal team OR relevant legal qualification.
- You will have an interest in a career in law and in particular criminal law.
- Using your IT, written and oral communication skills and organisation skills you will manage your own caseload of simple prosecution cases.
- Working as part of our team, you will contribute to the councils wider environmental strategy.
