Security GuardJOB AIMS & OBJECTIVEPosition of key responsibility to ensure security of premises and staff and to preserve stock integrity.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESKey Holder position as such should be independent and display utmost integrityPatrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gatesAnswer alarms and investigate disturbancesMonitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors deliveries vehicles and otherPersons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises, including the movement of stock in and out of the buildingConduct and log random searchesUpdate Security Log with activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrencesCall police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorised personsCirculate among visitors and employees to preserve order and protect propertyWarn persons of rule infractions or violations or evict violators from premisesOperate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas, including operating the CCTV system in accordance with the company policy.Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.Duties:- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises- Operate CCTV systems and other security equipment to ensure the safety and security of the facility- Patrol premises regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or any other security breaches- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances- Write reports on incidents, accidents, suspicious activities, and any other security-related matters- Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a professional and courteous manner- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and disciplineSkills:- Excellent observation skills with attention to detail- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations- Knowledge of first aid procedures is preferred but not required- Ability to work independently as well as part of a teamIf you are looking for an opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of our organization, please apply now.We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career growth within our company.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contractSalary: £10.50-£13.00 per hourBenefits:Company pensionGym membershipAbility to commute/relocate:Birmingham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:security: 1 year (preferred)Language:English (preferred)Licence/Certification:First Aid Certification (preferred)SIA (preferred)Driving Licence (preferred)Work Location: In personReference ID: SG/MPG/23
