Splendid Communications is an exciting and passionate PR Communications agency.
Due to company growth and promotion, we have the need for a Trainee Finance Assistant.
This offers the opportunity for someone, who is keen to build a career within finance, the chance to be provided with full training and the support, should they wish, to undertake the Level 4 Professional Accounting Taxation Technician Apprenticeship
Core responsibilities;
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Cash flow
- Run fortnightly payment runs
- Complete weekly reconciliations of bank accounts
- Monitor direct debit payments and ensure invoices are received for all those payments
- Update and maintain the cash flow forecasts for outgoing payments
- Manage the finance credit card and debit cards
- Manage petty cash
Purchase Ledger
Invoice processing
Purchase order management
Supplier maintenance
Sales ledger
Credit control
FINANCIAL CONTROLS AND PROCEDURES AND COMMERCIAL AWARENESS
Finance system
- Help maintain our finance system (Paprika)
- Internal department budget management
- Internal finance system training
EXPERIENCE
Individuals will be eager and able to demonstrate a strong desire to start a career within Finance/Accounts
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Must have good communication skills - both written and spoken.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Excel - intermediate level - able to produce pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs
