Vacancies have become available in Respiratory Physiology within Clinical Measurement Diagnostic services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individuals who are interested in training within this discipline.

We have a great team in respiratory, and we are looking for individuals who are self motivated , team players and passionate about Respiratory Physiology and have a thirst for learning.

You will be trained in Respiratory Physiology testing, sleep apnoea diagnostics and treatment as part of this role.

You will be required to gain a Respiratory Physiology degree or post graduate qualification. Qualifications taken will depend on previous experience and knowledge.

We encourage people with A- levels or relevant science degrees to apply.

You will also be required to take a Professional qualification in Respiratory Physiology alongside the academic qualification.

These are band 5 trainee roles and would be paid under Annex 21.

Core hours of the department are 8.30 to 6pm, all 3 posts are 35 hours per week.

As a trainee you will be required to be come competent in performing a range of Respiratory and Sleep investigations which include full lung function testing, Capillary blood gases, walk tests, overnight oximetry, muscle pressures, and respiratory sleep studies.
You will also be required to carry out CPAP treatment and follow up, for patients with obstructive sleep apnoea.

Clinical on the job training will be provided for this.

Calibration and checking equipment is essential to the role.

These vacancies will be based at Queens Hospital Burton , however flexibility to be able to work across the Royal Derby Hospital, and community hospitals is essential.
