Job description
Job Purpose:
To produce general arrangement process plant & piping drawings, schematic P&ID diagrams for mechanical and electrical installations as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- To produced accurate drawings in line with deadlines and as required by Design Engineers
- Where necessary to amend drawings in line with instructions and feedback received
- To provide support and assistance to the Design Team and Project Engineers as required
- Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to company approval
- Undertake any other such duties considered to be commensurate with the experience of the post holder and the requirements of the post
Person Specification:
Essential Requirements:
- 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths at Grade C or above
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
- Experience in working in an office environment
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
Desirable Requirements:
- Knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical systems
- Knowledge of Modern Construction Techniques
- Knowledge of Cad/BIM Standards
- Experience/qualification in Autocad or similar drafting package
- Experience of other drafting packages including 3D CAD/CAD MEP/Navisworks/Revit/Plant 3D etc
- Previous experience working in a mechanical or electrical engineering environment
- Experience within the water industry
