Your role will be to support the Marketing Officer to showcase the Caerphilly borough as a destination for tourism. Your main focus will be to support the councils 5 tourism assets, Cwmcarn Forest, Llancaiach Fawr Manor, Blackwood Miners’ Institute, The Winding House and Coffi Vista to increase visitors, raise the profile and awareness of each venue.
You will also be working with the Caerphilly Tourism Association to support with wider tourism in Caerphilly borough.
Your responsibilities will include
- The managing of social media platforms and creation of social media marketing plans for the venues.
- Updating and maintaining several websites.
- Produce promotional literature to agreed deadlines and budgets, including Visit Caerphilly guide and support with Blackwood Miners’ Institute seasonal brochure.
- Liaise with the Events team to attend fayres and festivals for promotional purposes where necessary.
- Work with the graphics department to create advertisements for various publications.
The role will require occasional evening and weekend work to attend events, performances and meetings.
This is a full time (37 hours per week) fixed term post for 2 years up to the end of March 2025.
