About the Team
Our mission is to offer the biggest, most innovative and best Technology & Consumer Electronics brands a chance to reach new audiences and harness the power of creators to grow sales and develop new channels all on the TikTok Platform. With Business Development at the heart of what we do, the Electronics team is focussed on introducing and bringing new brands and retailers on the TikTok Shop platform, developing playbooks for success and hands on management of Merchant partners performance.
Those who will succeed in this role will be target driven, entrepreneurial and bold in both decision making and ability to make a difference. Utilising strong analytical, planning and influencing skills the role will collaborate with Merchant partners at all levels across e-comm, operations, marketing & management in order to ensure that Merchant partners are set up for success on TikTok Shop.
Responsibilities
Understanding the market landscape
- Demonstrate and understanding of the Brand and Retailer landscape and the market requirements delivering solid actionable category plans to aid acquisition and business development
- Take ownership and management of existing merchant partners on an end-to-end basis working shoulder to shoulder to develop growth plans, engage creators & problem solving to achieve success
- Identification, prioritization and recruiting of new Merchant partners to the TikTok Shop e-commerce platform taking responsibility for the end-to-end journey
- to identify and effectively engage stakeholders within our organization, fostering strong cross-functional collaborations to drive successful outcomes.
- Contribute towards building solutions that enhance our Merchant partners, users and creators experiences on TikTok Shop. Combining the use of problem statements alongside data and analytics, formulate business improvement areas and develop solutions to meet needs
- to be forward-thinking, adaptable, and results-driven, thrives on embracing change and breaking through traditional barriers
Requirements
- Qualifications - 3+ years Experience in either E-Commerce with focus on Category Management and/or Business Development
- Detailed understanding of Market landscape including key brands/retailers, key e-commerce trends supported by a broader understanding of market places
- Fast learner who is able to navigate and thrive in a fast paced changing environment and thrive in self-starting/entrepreneurial environments
- Excellent communicator, can influence and negotiate to create win-wins for themselves, the company and Merchant Partners.
