About the role

The Bloomsbury Theatre is where ideas spark and creativity comes to life. Originally opened in 1968, today it showcases the best of theatre, music, dance, comedy and everything in-between. You will provide an efficient and welcoming ticket sales and information service with a high standard of customer service at all times.

  • Selling tickets and providing information to customers in person, by telephone and in writing.
  • Setting up new events in the system following standard procedures. Liaising with event organisers to get events set up, producing reports as necessary.

This role includes a small amount of manual handling. It is an on-campus role, and is not suitable for regular remote working. This is a part-time, open-ended role, working 18.25 hours per week. The work-pattern will be agreed between the role-holder and Line Manager.

About you

  • You will need excellent team working skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as both part of a multidisciplinary team and on own initiative.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and accurately to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current ticketing software systems.
  • Ability to provide a high standard of customer service delivery.

What we offer

The post is graded as UCL Grade 4 with salary in the range (pro rata) £26,397 - £27,862 per annum including London Allowance.

Probation

Appointments are subject to a probationary period of 6 months.

Annual leave

Annual leave is 27 working days for a full-time member of staff (pro rata for part-time staff) and 6 UCL closure days in addition to 8 Bank Holidays.

Pension

Appointments are superannuable under the /www.uss.co.uk/">Universities Superannuation Scheme(USS).
