Interim Financial Controller £350-£400 per day (Inside IR35) 6-12 months - Birmingham
Hybrid Working

The Company
Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-regarded Service sector business . They are a leading light in their niche and can be referred to as an Employer of Choice in the region. They are seeking an Interim Financial Controller to lead a small team and ensure everything is done in a timely fashion.

Duties
Reporting to the Finance Director this role will be responsible for taking the lead in confirming effective month end close, the production of insightful management accounts and providing support to the senior management team.

Responsibilities include:

• 
  Oversee the production of month end close
• Produce Management Accounts Pack including useful commentary and insight
• Manage Cash flow forecasting process
• Oversee Balance sheet reconciliations
• Use Excel to effectively manipulate data and provide insight
• Take the lead in managing the Year End process liaising successfully with the auditors
• Manage and mentor a small but dedicated finance team

Person Specification

• ACMA/ACCA/ACA qualified
• Evidence of working effectively in medium to large companies
• Exposure to managing the Year End process
• Strong Excel user proficient use of lookups, pivot tables, sum ifs, and formulas
• Track record of managing teams

What’s On Offer
In addition to the attractive day rate, this role is expected to run for a minimum of 6 months and likely 12. If you are seeking a permanent opportunity there would be the possibility of joining the business on a permanent basis. The company are working a very flexible hybrid model which provides the opportunity to save on travel costs.
