Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Therapy Assistant to join our Integrated Stroke Therapy Team. The successful candidate will be part of a large, busy Hyper-acute and rehabilitation stroke team located in the Primary Stroke Centre at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a motivated, experienced individual who is keen to help shape our in-patient stroke service. The individual needs to enjoy working as part of a team and be able to work alongside other therapy assistants to support occupational therapists and physiotherapists with their patient treatment sessions and non-clinical duties.
Your rolewill be involved in the acute and rehabilitation care of stroke patients, working across both therapy teams demonstrating an adaptable approach to assist in the delivery of holistic rehabilitation whilst meeting a high standard of care set out through national stroke standards and guidelines. You will be expected to manage your own caseload under the supervision and guidance of the qualified therapists and prioritise your day to fit in your non-clinical duties.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
