About the role:

As a Test/UAT Analyst you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver Testing services for applications, systems and other changes and to manage User Acceptance Testing. This will include both external and internal facing applications and systems for staff and members. You will use your experience and knowledge as a Test/UAT Analyst to analyse requirements, execute testing and validate results to drive quality outcomes for Health Shield and to contribute to the continuous improvement of Health Shield’s applications and systems and testing standards and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work within Agile Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid projects to assist in the delivery of quality software through the ownership of all test standards and capabilities
  • Establish a constructive and collaborative working relationship with business analysts, developers, architects, project managers, external development teams from suppliers and stakeholders
  • Work with IT and business teams to review and assess requirements and acceptance criteria, including providing estimates in the form of story points
  • Own, adhere to and enhance IT testing standards that are in place within the IT department
  • Proactively contribute to agile ceremonies with a view to communicate progress, challenges, and continuous improvement
  • Use testing techniques to develop Test Cases or exploratory test charters
  • Complete manual testing of systems, including but not limited to, front-end web applications, Restful APIs, SQL databases, mobile applications and all Salesforce solution artefacts
  • Create and run test automation for web applications, and Rest APIs in alignment with the automation strategy
  • Defect investigation, reporting, management, and retesting
  • Creation of test reports and documentation that supports the future testing of systems
  • Develop and support UAT execution plans and activities
  • Manage UAT activities and co-ordinate UAT reporting with internal and external parties

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • At least several years hands on experience in a Test/UAT Analyst role
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary development team to deliver software projects using agile Scrum and/or Kanban mythologies
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira toolsets
  • Experience with automated testing toolsets
  • Experience in a Salesforce environment
  • Experience working with outsourcers and 3rd-party organisations
  • Working with a small team of Testers and Developers
  • Working with project and PMO teams
  • The ability to understand and analyse complex systems and processes through working closely with develops, technical documents or requirements
  • Effective and efficient test design
  • Performing functional, non-functional, regression, system, integration and UAT Testing
  • Mobile application, web application, browser, system and device testing
  • · Demonstrable experience of continuous improvement
  • · Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to use diplomacy and advocacy skills

Nice to Have:

  • ISEB or BCS/ISTQB certifications
  • Restful API testing using Postman or a similar tool
  • Experience of testing Salesforce applications, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dynamics Nav, CRM 2015, integration toolsets
  • Web and API automation experience including but not limited to Selenium IDE/Webdriver and Postman/Newman
  • Knowledge or use of Gherkin/Cucumber/Spec flow
  • Knowledge or experience of using Ghost Inspector
  • Mobile or compatibility testing using BrowserStack or a similar tool
  • Lightning, Vlocity, Heroku, T-SQL / Java / JSON / XML / CSS/ XPath
  • Confluence and Jira toolsets
  • Azure DevOps / GIT
  • Visual Studio Code
  • Experience using browser integrated developer tools
