FFW has a freelance opportunity available, for an Technical Writer. The selected candidate will work in a project with our partner, a major global player in the pharmacuticals industry.
The ideal candidate has several years of experience in a similar role, is motivated, self-started, with a positive attitude.
This is a freelance / contract role, 100% remote, full-time (40 hours / week). For this role, you should be able to work on the GMT time zone, with the ability to overlap on the US EST time zone.
The contract duration is of 1 year.
In this role (which is covering both technical and non-technical audiences), our future colleague will be primarily responsible for creating reusable documentation, for the teams of our partner.
This role is ideal for someone who is curious about technology and has an enthusiasm for continuous learning. Additionally, he or she will be able to self-determine priorities in line with business needs and pivot when required
you will have a user-centric, high-quality documentation contribution;- you are going to work closely with stakeholders to create, refine, and continuously improve documentation;
- you will be in close touch with other Technical Writers to identify and address technical documentation gaps;
- proactively engage and collaborate with teams to improve user experience and documentation quality.
3-5years of experience planning, researching, writing and editing online help, user guides, configuration guides and other; technical content in a software development environment;- Demonstrable excellence in technical writing with forensic attention to detail;
- samples/portfolio required;
- technical writing certification preferred;
- Knowledge of Adobe RoboHelp, MadCap Flare or other industry standard online help to author tools;
- Knowledge of Jira and Confluence. Knowledge of Git/SVN or other version control tool;
- Experience of delivering technical content in an agile environment
- Proven ability to effectively work and deliver in a remote, global and cross-functional team environment
- Excellent communication skills to:
- provide status updates to documentation stakeholders;
- liaise with product stakeholders such as Product Owners, QA, Development etc. to determine product scope/functionality;
- solicit content reviews from Product Owner and other SMEs;
