What you can expect:
We are seeking a technical support analyst to join our in-house Fixed Income Technology team and to take a key role in further development and support of the Jefferies trading systems platforms, with particular emphasis on Ion Marketview and Anvil repo trading systems.
The role will be based in London will be working as part of the Fixed Income Support team.
The successful candidate should have good technical experience of support, testing and release management, and rapid troubleshooting of trading systems.
Involves working closely with the European Rates, Credit, Emerging Markets and Mortgages trading and sales teams. This role provides the opportunity for the successful applicant to grow their skills and experience within Fixed Income area, and of fixed income technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key role, to maintain and develop Jefferies expanding European Fixed Income trading business in Europe.
- Trade floor support working in primarily on ION’s Front office trading solution and Bloomberg TOMS.
- Working directly with trading and sales on daily troubleshooting.
- Working in a global team, to analyse, solve, and remediate issues.
- Incident management and issue tracking with external software vendors, markets, and technology teams.
- Collaboration with global front-office support and Internal development teams.
- Assist in full release cycle from software upgrades, UAT, QA, and User feedback sessions.
Qualifications
Person Specification:
The following skills and experience are mandatory for this role:
- Excellent team player, but with the ability to work independently and take ownership of issues to their conclusion.
- Experience of trading platforms and supporting front office users
- Experience of working to structured development processes and methodologies
- High attention to detail and strong technical knowledge
- Excellent problem solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Front Office Trade Support Experience
- ION MMI, Sysadmin, Gateways, RFQ, Trade, Positions, Risk, Bloomberg TOMS
- Fixed Income experience; Ion Bus and architecture experience. PXE knowledge would be beneficial.
- Understanding of Repo and cash bond/future trading workflow.
