Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated psychology graduate to work as an Assistant Psychologist (band 4) in adult community psychological services across North East Essex. The post will be based across the North East Essex specialist community mental health teams (Colchester and Tendring). The role center's on supporting qualified staff in the running of adult community psychological services. The post has been developed to promote the psychological health and wellbeing of people waiting for a psychological intervention to start. Under the supervision of a qualified psychologist the post holder will offer safety and wellbeing calls to people who have been assessed and waiting for either group or individual therapy. There will also be an opportunity to deliver meaningful psychological skills to people to stabilise their wellbeing and reduce risks. There will also be an emphasis on securing outcomes from people that are accessing the service and contribute to associated data reporting as part of a quality and accountability framework.
