IT Technical Consultant
Location - Central London (remote and travel expected around London)

Do you have previous experience working for an MSP or Field / Support Engineer or Service Desk Environment with external clients/customers?
We’re looking for someone who embraces a challenge and is keen to be a pivotal part of our technical consultancy team. What you will do is partner with each of your clients as either their IT Manager or alongside their IT Manager, building trusted adviser relationships, providing input, guidance and steering them to make the right long-term decisions about their IT infrastructure.
You will plan, manage and deploy core IT projects including infrastructure refreshes to cloud migrations, to Windows upgrades, to Microsoft 365 / Azure Migrations across a wide variety of clients throughout London.

From a technical perspective…
- Advanced administration and troubleshooting skills in Microsoft 365, Hyper-V and other virtualisation platforms.
- Experience of administering and supporting Microsoft Azure and cloud migrations.
- Experience of setting up and supporting on premise server hardware and software, including Exchange, firewalls, antivirus, backup expertise and networking skills.
- You will be confident in getting to grips with a varied client base, each with its own challenges and priorities.
- Technical qualifications / certifications are desirable but not essential as we provide the opportunity to gain the necessary accreditations.=
- Day to Day you may be:
- Managing Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory
- Setting up and Configuring PCs / Laptops and New Users
- Configuring Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online
- Migrating to Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive
- Implementing Backup & Disaster Recovery Solutions or Business Continuity Planning
- Setting up, managing or troubleshooting virtualised environments (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Troubleshooting / Implementing networks / firewalls
- Working with clients and developing strategic IT roadmaps
From a commercial perspective we are looking for someone with ….
- At least 3 years experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or VAR/Reseller as a Field / Support Engineer or Service Desk Environment.
- Experience in project planning, management, and delivery.
- Able to work autonomously, creative problem solver and able to use initiative.
- The ability to hold and manage client meetings and communicate confidently at all levels.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders in different environments.
- The ability to create necessary written documentation to include.
- Technical proposals
- Technical project plans
- Handover and user guides
