About the Role
At Dexory, autonomous robots are a critical part of our product offering. We design and build our robots in house and are building new purpose built spaces for assembly, testing and product demos.
Your role will be to oversee and manage external suppliers and technical purchasing. Sitting within our finance function, you will be working closely with the technical team who manage our production, ensuring all parts are delivered for timely execution., You will assist in keeping up to date documentation for this essentially removing all supply related barriers with regard to production wherever possible. The role will be hybrid; with some travel involved to our London and Wallingford facilities.
Responsibilities:
Be fully involved within the Hardware/Electro-Mechanical team to support product development, introducing new items and suppliers.
From the above, understanding quality, cost and time drivers
Taking over relationships with ongoing suppliers & acquiring new ones.
Keeping an eye for cost reduction & negotiating with suppliers without compromising on execution timescales or product quality
Keeping track of deliveries against timelines
Keeping a proactive eye out for performance of suppliers, risk assessment and other approvals
Ensuring all inventory supplier are up-to-date and controlled
Suggesting & implementing improvements for internal supply/buying processes
Requirements:
Experience purchasing in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Experience of managing and developing clear, value-add relationships with suppliers
Solid technical understanding of mechanical & electronic components, PCBs and different materials used in an R&D setting
Strong communication & negotiation skills
