We are looking for a Operations Team Leader to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production process, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed, and coordinating with other departments to ensure that all tasks are completed on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in factory management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate and lead a team.

Your Purpose:

  • You MUST be self-managed, can finish what you start & are able to ask questions to others (including management) for help & advice. You will need to bring solutions/intended actions to the table & NOT problems
  • You MUST be proactive, if a task is set then you should come to a meeting, have clear understanding of the task you have been presented with, you should do your own research, call the ‘supplier’, interpret our needs to suppliers to get quotes, present 3 options or variations to management for approval. When approved you should carry out the task & comment up your findings & full process onto Trello, train and explain what you have done to others in the AM meeting
  • You will manage the factory team, including but not limited to :- Their efficiency, throughput best practice & organising with the transport company
  • You MUST be willing to learn & develop your own skills & techniques!
  • Fully understand all processes within the Factory to teach and train staff with knowledgeable experience, this is a very practical role.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production process and ensure that all safety regulations are followed.
  • Ensure that all equipment schedules for maintenance/servicing are followed.
  • Monitor the production process to ensure that it is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Train and supervise staff in their duties.
  • Ensure that all products meet quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency and productivity.
  • You are responsible for the Operational Excellence of the business.

Role Working And Learning:

  • Oversee the management of preventative maintenance & equipment maintenance to tie up with ISO 9001 in line with operations
  • Working with Production team to enhance and improve factory processes & new techniques
  • Factory enhancements & development to improve flow
  • Source & purchasing key component parts & replacement parts for development purposes
  • Organising external servicing & inspection appointments, by liaising with the relevant people & companies
  • Good overview of all current aspects of production
  • Organising and liaising transport (deliveries, pickups, collections, vehicles)
  • Learn & be aware when the correct time is to check in with management on task in hand
  • Working with Management to Research & Develop as well as enhancing new/existing products, equipment & machinery
  • Manage training on producing/assembling products & using machines in the proper manner
  • Self motivated to drive projects forward, including contacting & organising progress update meetings
  • Keep the cutting list, training matrix and risk assessments up to date
  • Technical advice & training on production to knowledge share
