Job description
We are looking to employ an enthusiastic, adaptable and hardworking person to join our well organised Practice.
We are a large, friendly practice which provides patient care from Broughty Ferry Health Centre. Previous experience of working within primary care would be desirable although not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate.
The successful candidate should have:
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal and a confident, courteous and friendly manner both in person and on the telephone
- Good computer skills with the understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and with a willingness to learn or have experience with the GP IT systems within the practice
- Good organisational skills
- you should be able to work well under pressure and have the ability to work as part of a team and also independently
- The ability to be able to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the practice. This includes assisting with extended hours rota and overtime as required, at times of staff absence.
- The ability to enjoy assisting members of the public and providing the highest quality of care to our patients
- Be professional in your approach at all times
- The ability to have an understanding of patient confidentiality
previous experience of working within a busy Surgery or Hospital environment or similar would be desirable although not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Hours: 24 to 28 hours per week – spread over five days
Practice open: Monday to Friday 0800 – 1800 hours
Salary: Band 2/3 (depending on previous experience)
