About the role
We have one Fixed-term opportunity available for a 36-hour Support Workers role at Queens Walk Resource Centre across a 5-day week.
We are recruiting a Support Worker to join our friendly team at The Queens Walk Resource Centre in South Ruislip. Queens Walk is a modern purpose-built Resource Centre in Ruislip for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Offering a person-centred approach to activities and occupations, supporting the residents of Hillingdon and their families. You will join a skilled staff team who use a range of therapeutic interventions to support the individual in all aspects of their care across the week. The service enables the men and women attending to access a range of bespoke equipment to increase independence, choice and opportunity. We embrace the Resource Centre model for integration into the local community and inclusion into a wider society.
You will be responsible for the implementation of varied, motivating programmes, delivering activities appropriate to the needs of the individual and supporting service users in community activities.
About you
We are looking for a motivated team player with good communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to engage effectively with service users, providing them with support and opportunities meeting their needs in a person-centred way. You will also be creative and will take an enthusiastic approach ensuring service users fully participate in the sessions and activities you facilitate whilst treating service users with dignity and respect.
