Job description
Full training is provided across as many activity sessions as possible and where necessary courses for National Governing Body Qualification will be run in order to ensure staff are qualified for the sessions they aim to deliver.
All instructing staff will be involved with the maintaining and inspection of equipment, site work and domestic work including changing beds and cleaning duties. You may also be involved with the operation of vehicles including tractors and trailers. On a normal working day you can expect to instruct 3 sessions of 2 hours in duration, most sessions incorporate 2 activities within each zone with the exception of water sports and ropes.
Accommodation is available on site; rent covers all costs other than food. Staff provide their own bedding. Accommodation may be mixed sex. All buildings including staff accommodation are non smoking. Pets are not permitted.
Personal Spcification
Instructing staff are expected to be self motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills. You will be required to wear a company uniform (provided) and be neatly presented. Applicants will ideally have experience of supervising adventurous activities and be 17 years old or above. All staff are required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check, which if not already held, can be arranged through Stubbers Adventure Centre.

Due to the wide scope on of activities available at Stubbers we will provide the opportunity for staff to take part in National Governing Body courses and obtain qualifications including British Canoeing Union Paddle-sports qualifications, Royal Yachting Association qualifications for Jetski driving, powerboat driving, and sailing, in house European Ropes Course Association training for high ropes activities, and more.
