SEN Teacher
SEN Schools catering for students aged 4-19 years with autism and moderate to severe learning difficulties
Location: East London
Hours: 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £130 - £190 per day, depending on experience

Person Specification:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS
- Excellent Behaviour management skills
- Be able to build positive relationships with young people and staff
- Good knowledge/experience working with children with complex needs within an SEN environment
- Be able to teach KS1/2/3/4 curriculum
- Be able to work well as a team
- A valid DBS (preferably on update service)
- The right to work in the UK
Duties:
- You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to students across primary ages who have an EHCP statement of Autism, and MLD.
- Lessons should be varied and adaptable to suit the needs and abilities of SEN students
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as necessary.
- Provide differentiated teaching and learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN, adapting teaching resources and materials as required.
- Work closely with the SEN coordinator and other staff members to identify and assess students with SEN, contributing to the development of the school's SEN provision.
- Provide regular feedback to students, parents, and staff members on student progress, highlighting areas of success and identifying areas for improvement.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure that all students receive a high-quality and inclusive education.
- Keep up-to-date with best practices in SEN education, attending training sessions and meetings as required.
- Contribute to the overall success of the school, supporting the school's vision and values.
