The job: Corporate Tax Manager, Global Tax Compliance
We have an opportunity in Inchinnan for an experienced Tax professional to join us. In this particular role The Tax Manager will work closely with business leaders and colleagues in the functions within the group, as well as colleagues throughout the business, to contribute to, and manage elements of, the smooth operation of the corporate tax compliance function.
This is a permanent, full time opportunity based at our Inchinnan site with hybrid working opportunities.
What will you do?
- Manages own time on multiple tax assignments, working effectively with others within the UK tax team and communicating progress and results.
- Monitors, coordinates and supports the preparation of Corporate Tax Returns globally.
- Provides input into forecast of UK Group taxable profit by assigned legal entity for input into the Cash Tax Forecast, communicating effectively with business leadership to improve visibility to outcomes, enabling decision making at Corporate level.
- Reviews the local CFC position for assigned jurisdictions.
- Provides input into the Organization’s Global Foreign Cash Tax Forecast (outside of US Domestic), and monitors the actual payments against forecast for assigned jurisdictions.
- Collaborates with business units, documents and reviews compliance for the Senior Accounting Officer certification, working collaboratively on CCO documentation.
- Reviews, prepares and supports the preparation of the Return to Provision reconciliations for jurisdictions in their remit.
- Prepares or coordinates replies to tax authority audits, working with various departments to collate the information required and ensuring the reply is appropriate to the queries raised.
- Reviews tax accounting quarterly tax packs prepared by local accountants and prepares tax accounting quarterly packs for certain complex assigned entities.
- Provides reports to Management on status of Corporate Tax compliance.
- Supports tax accounting and manages or participates in project work.
Who we are looking for:
- Professional accounting and/or tax qualification.
- Experience in corporate tax compliance gained either within the profession or in a similar role in industry.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
- Fully proficient is MS Office, including Excel.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency, contagious optimism and a “can do” attitude.
- Stretches across borders, breaks silos and builds effective partnerships with customers and colleagues.
