Job description
TA BP London Corporate – Job Ad 19/06/2023
The Company:
Lightsource bp (LSbp) is a global leader in the development and management of solar energy projects. We are a 50:50 joint venture with BP and on a mission to help drive the world’s transition to low carbon energy. We are planning to exceed 50GW by 2025.
With solar set to increase tenfold in the next 20 years, we are well-positioned to capitalise on this growth. By joining the now 1,100 strong Lightsource bp team, across 19 countries; you will ‘be the change’ on the world’s energy transition to a more sustainable future.
We pride ourselves on our entrepreneurial spirit as we continue to push the boundaries of an ever-changing energy landscape. By choosing a career with us, you can expect a challenging and fulfilling role surrounded by people who are passionate and have brilliant ideas about sustainable technology, innovation and making the world a better place.
The role:
The role predominantly focuses on supporting our Corporate HQ, but also recruiting some roles in Asia. Both areas will require planning, execution and partnering with our hiring managers, advising on how to obtain the best people in the market, with lots of freedom to operate. In terms of the level you would be recruiting at, it would be bottom to top, the only limit being dependent on your experience of Executive or very senior management hiring.
To do this you will work closely with the relevant HR Business Partner and the global TA and HR Operations teams. You will of course have a variety of tools to do this, both your selection of agency suppliers and direct sourcing tools like LinkedIn etc, with a lot more coming. We also have a new ATS (Applicant Tracking System) in Success Factors, which allows full visibility of the demand and sufficient controls to get roles approved and automate offers and onboarding.
Who we’re looking for:
You will be a highly experienced and senior Talent Acquisition professional who has worked initially in an agency or search firm, before moving in-house for an organisation where you have had a broad remit. You should be used to working with senior stakeholders and confident to source, screen and interview candidates as required. Negotiation with suppliers and candidates will come naturally to you; as will working with internal HR colleagues in HR Operations, Learning & Development and Reward. Dealing with all position levels from early career to senior management, you will be passionate and able to communicate to a high level, both in writing and verbally. A team player who is just as happy sharing their experience as learning from others and working together on projects.
Ideally you will have experience of working in the solar or renewables industries, but we would also consider candidates with experience of oil & gas, engineering, technology and construction amongst others. Equally if you are accredited with any psychometric tools, this would be a significant advantage.
Why you’ll want to work for us:
Our company is a place where you can be yourself and grow; a place where your ideas and opinions matter.
Be you
We pride ourselves on being an inclusive community, where every individual is valued and treated with respect.
Be responsible
Our culture is driven by our core values. From operating safely to ensuring our solar projects are responsible and promote biodiversity.
Be recognized
Alongside a competitive salary, we offer a variety of benefits including annual bonus, retention bank, health insurance, 41K and other local benefits including generous holiday allowances.
Be inspired
Beyond your day-to-day working life at Lightsource bp, there’s a variety of initiatives that will contribute to your own personal development. Initiatives to get involved with including our charitable causes or supporting our solar honey project.
