The Role You'll Play:
Working alongside a team of specialist engineers and technicians, you will assist with civil engineering design and analysis, and help define and translate client requirements into workable designs for the construction of buildings, all with sustainability at the forefront of the design. You will start by working extensively in three-dimensional design software, assisting qualified engineers to develop fully coordinated designs.
Beyond your apprenticeship Cundall can offer you support towards achieving chartership status with the ICE, and in the long-term the opportunity for a hugely rewarding and exciting career.
The Skills You'll Bring:
If you have completed A Levels you will have at least 104 UCAS points, in STEM related subjects (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics) or have completed a Level 3 BTEC/Apprenticeship during your studies and/or work experience to date you have developed a keen interest in engineering and/or construction.
You have a keen interest in learning new skills and are willing to work hard to reach your goals. You possess the personal qualities and organisation skills to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, are a confident communicator, looking for a career in creative, sustainable, and intuitive design.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Civil Engineer to join our Edinburgh office to learn what it takes to carry out civil infrastructure design on some of the most exciting built environment projects in the UK and worldwide.
Working alongside a team of specialist engineers and technicians, you will assist with civil engineering design and analysis, and help define and translate client requirements into workable designs for the construction of buildings, all with sustainability at the forefront of the design. You will start by working extensively in three-dimensional design software, assisting qualified engineers to develop fully coordinated designs.
As you develop your technical engineering skills with us on real-life projects, you will also be granted day-release to study a Civil Engineering degree qualification. You will be provided training by expert engineers on how to perform engineering design and analysis and shown how to use drawing and design software such as AutoCAD, PDS and Civil CAD3D.

You will be educated to at least GCSE grade C (4) or above in English and Maths.
