On a day-to-day basis, you’ll head off to visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment. You’ll either work alone or alongside a Monitoring Support Officer. You’ll be part of a friendly, welcoming team, who’ll support you as you learn and develop, as together you help to make our country a safer place.
With every individual you meet, you’ll have the opportunity to build their confidence in both you and the justice system, reassuring them of their safety, as well as that of the general public. With every successful case, you’ll be directly helping reduce the pressure on the prison system and give ex-prisoners the chance to be part of their community again. Every day and every individual is different, which is what makes this role so varied and full of opportunities to learn.
You’ll receive three weeks of ICT training and will be accompanied by a Training Officer on the road until you’re comfortable in your role. And with support from your manager, you’ll have the chance to grow your skills and progress your career, whether it’s into a management role or within the wider Capita business.
Whether you’ve previously worked as a postie, a broadband engineer, or a door-to-door salesperson or whether you’ve got experience within social care, the police force or the military, we’re open to hearing from you! Compensation: You’ll be rewarded with £23,065 and a company car which includes personal use
Working hours: You’ll be working on a rotating shift pattern, between 5pm – 1am which averages 37.5 hours per week including some weekends and bank holidays.

What you’ll be doing:
Visiting individuals’ houses to install, adjust or deactivate tagging equipment
Checking and cleaning equipment on issue and collection
Collecting any equipment needed for evidence
Liaising with the control centre to report any issues or subject breaches
Showing respect to subjects to build confidence in the justice system and in their safety
Keeping paperwork up-to-date and following standard operational procedures
Taking part in meetings with your team and line manager.
What we’re looking for:
Full driving license and Right to Work documents
Friendly and personable with the ability to put people at ease
Resilience, patience and ability to adapt to different circumstances
an interest in getting out and about and travelling around to visit people in their own homes.
Ability to work on a shift rota basis (night shifts, day shifts and part-time hours available)
The nature of what we do means that your shifts could fall on any day of the year including Christmas and Bank Holidays. You'll be able to liaise with your manager to book your paid annual leave whenever is convenient for you in coordination with other team members.
