Job Overview
The post holder will be responsible for completing the workload as provided by their Line Manager, in an efficient and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have an up to date reach and counterbalance FLT license.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all daily check(s) are carried out and check sheet(s) are completed
- Ensure that the working area of the forklifts are clear and accessible at all times;
- To load & unload vehicles effectively with caution and following all H&S guidelines
- To be versed in the usage of required internal computer programs & databases
- All outside areas are clear of rubbish and areas are used effectively for the storage of recycling, pallets, waste and parking
- Ensure palletized goods are stored adequately to minimise damage when goods are placed and removed from locations
- Ensure any goods being made ready for dispatch are wrapped/strapped adequately & correctly to avoid any risk of damage
- Assist/Undertake in all picking activities to keep all Machines and Finishing departments at least 3 hours in advance of present schedules
- To complete stock location checks as requested by departmental staff and/or Warehouse Manager, including any adjustments (if required) maintaining stock accuracy and integrity
- To be available for monthly & annual stock takes
- Any other reasonable request

Skills, knowledge and experience
- Good computer skills
- Ability to effectively follow verbal and written instructions and raise issues that arise
- Ability to complete paperwork in English accurately and completely
- Understand the importance of detail and accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and individually
- Self-managing and pro-active
- Fork lift experience / reach and counter-balance FLT license(s)

Shift: Sunday - Thursday 20:00pm - 04:00am (please note that the first 4 weeks of training will be on day shift)

Salary: £14 per hour
