Job description
Your skills are required to come into a quant trading startup, who are leaving their competitors in the dust. Your experience as a multifaceted Linux Systems Administrator (End User Support) will be employed to fix everything!
You'll be joining the Systems Operations team, who are effectively responsible for end user support, working with vendors and just fixing anything and everything that isn't working properly. Troubleshoot, fix and ideally improve...
90% of your work will be Linux focused so the relevant experience goes without saying. 10% is on Windows, so that is nice to have, however, not a show stopper if not.
Your day to day will be reactive as well as proactive. Catching things before there is an issue is the goal, however, this is almost never possible, as a result in one day you can be working from the menial, such as fixing a Zoom issue (as hey have just transferred from Webex) through to troubleshooting the hardware when packages went wrong and teams aren't able to install 'things' right. If it needs fixing, you're the person they call. The company is at a stage where the hardware has issues quite often, so you'll never be bored!
The role requires 2-3 days in the London office per week, however, on those days you can start later and finish earlier, to make up for the commuting time (and still bill the whole day's rate).
This is a stellar company and definitely not one to be missed out on. Apply now for the full details!
