We are looking for an Learning System Administrator to join our amazing team.
Location: Gilwell Park, Chingford, London (with Hybrid working)
Salary: £28,678 per annum - Band D Level 3, inclusive outer London weighting
Term: Permanent
Working Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Role:
As our Learning System Administrator, you will get to help us set up and configure a new Learning System for 150,000 volunteers across the UK. You’ll make sure we have the right course templates, notifications messages, learning logics and content structures in place.
What we are looking for in our Learning System Administrator:
- Specialist experience in administrating, configuring or managing Learning Management or Experience Systems or similar
- Knowledge of and/or skills in Inclusive Design and Accessibility, especially the Web Content 11 Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1)
- Great technical and digital skills – xAPI, SCORM, Widgets and other such terms are familiar to you, and you are happy to learn more about and engage with the technical aspect of Learning Systems and IT integrations
- Basic HTML skills – you are confident in using basic html code to design system messages and emails
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work as part of an Agile team
Key responsibilities as our Learning System Administrator:
- Delving deep into the configuration and setup of our new Learning Experience System becoming an expert in the system
- Setting up course templates and categories
- Defining and configuring logics in the learning system to make sure our volunteers have the right learning assigned or recommended to them
- Importing existing training materials as courses and resources in the system
- Assisting in the data migration of historic learning records for our volunteers to make sure their learning is recognised in the new learning system
- Plugging in xAPI packages, making sure they can communicate with the Learning System
- Setting up skill structures, meta-tags and notification messages in the Learning System that help our volunteers engage with the right learning at the right time
- Developing the necessary documentation and guidance to help staff and volunteers engage with our Learning System
- Collaborating with colleagues to make sure we end up with a user-friendly, inclusive and accessible learning system for our volunteers
- Making sure we follow standards and best practices for all of the above from a digital perspective (versioning, change logs, consistency of approach, etc)
