We are looking for somebody to join our team who is respectful, caring and honest and who is able to work as part of a team.
The role of Support Worker at Thorpe House includes the day-to-day care and support of our service users; assisting with activities, accompanying on trips into the community and supporting our service users with aspects of personal care to name but a few responsibilities. You will be working alongside other staff so teamwork is key! Full training is provided, experience is not necessary.
We are seeking somebody who would be available to work an average of 37.5 hours per week, including days, nights and weekends. Each shift at Thorpe House is 12 hours.
The job provides a starting salary of minimum wage but comes with opportunities of pay increases. Average earnings are £10 per hour, this includes enhancements for working weekends and nights; further enhancements are an additional 40p per hour for NVQ Level 3 qualified candidates. From April 2023, minimum wage will increase to £10.42.
5.6 weeks of annual leave provided.
An appropriate level of DBS check will be required.
