Qualifications:
Proven networking skills and knowledge of Apple, Google and Windows systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of the safe and proper handling of all audio-visual tools, equipment and materials used in library operations, and proven ability to follow best safety practices.
Proven ability to complete work within established time frames.
Demonstrated ability to instruct staff in one-on-one and group settings on proper use of audio-visual systems.
Proven ability to work cooperatively, effectively, and professionally with vendors, staff and the public.
Demonstrated ability to climb ladders, lift and carry light equipment of up to 50 lbs. such as computers, portable sound systems, etc.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including evenings and weekends to support events and programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs setup and presentation of Friday Film series in Berkley Theater.
Creates, sets up, uses and removes sound and lighting equipment for library programs.
Assists with theater productions as required.
Advises staff and administration concerning technical requirements.
Provides technical services in Library meeting spaces, theaters, and the branches.
Travels between main and branch libraries on routine and emergency basis.
Supports Library and Town policies and philosophies.
Performs other related duties as required.
All positions may be subject to an interview process. The Town reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be invited to participate in the examination, or any part thereof.
All outside candidates will be required to undertake and successfully pass a pre-employment medical examination, which includes a substance abuse test, given at the Town's expense prior to employment if conditionally offered a part time, full time or safety sensitive position.
