Job description
Assist in the day to day running of the post office
-Handle all cash and money transactions in an accurate and confidential way
-Listen to customer requests and queries and process them in a timely manner
-Work as part of a team
-Maintain an accurate stock and cash balance at the end of each shift
-Prepare daily/weekly summary reports as required
-Balance shop cashier till floats and prepare daily cashier report
-Carry out a range of post office services including:
-processing letters and parcels
-pension and benefits transactions
-banking and bill payments
-car tax and DVLA forms
-travel insurance and foreign currency
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
-Excellent customer service and the ability to go the extra mile for our customers
-A high degree of accuracy in your work
-The ability to work under pressure in a busy post office environment
-Previous experience in handling cash/financial transactions
-Honesty and integrity
- Available to work weekends (3 out of 4 Saturdays)
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24-30 per week
Salary: £10.00 per hour
