Job description
As a Technician Apprentice L3 you will be providing support to customers by telephone, in person or by email. Support duties will include
· Handling calls and tickets from customers in an efficient and confident manner, being thoughtful of the issues and always having the client as your top priority
· Performing troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems.
· Providing orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new equipment and software.
· Setting up devices (computers, routers,switches etc)
· Monitoring services and taking appropriate action – backups, system alerts, cyber reports.
The areas you will be supporting include:
· Microsoft Modern Workplace
o Microsoft 365
o Sharepoint
o Azure
o Enterprise Mobility and Security
o Apps (-Teams, Power Automate, Power BI)
· Cyber Security: investigation of cases, deployment of tools.
· Installation & Support of Microsoft Windows PC's & Apple Mac,
· Windows Servers
· VMware, Hyper V
· Cloud Migration - Azure
· DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP,
· Firewalls & Routers.
In the modern world of IT support you will be handling support enquiries which range from applications to email services, cloud servers, firewalls or personal devices.
There will possibly be some on-site customer work involved over time, but the job is primarily located in the company office.
Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through blended learning. This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer.
