Job description

Job summary

Theatre support assistant to work in community based Foot surgery operating theatre. We operate two days a week, with the remaining other days compiled of clinical work.

These consist of Pre-operation assessment clinics and dressing clinics. There are also nurse led telephone clinics which capture new patient's details and review clinics.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

To assist with patient care within a clinical and theatre environment.

To circulate in theatre, to assist in dressing clinic and undertake telephone clinics with training provided.

NVQ Health and social care - Level 3

GCSE A* - D in English and Maths

Experience

Theatre experience

Be able to work as a team member

Understanding and committed to a caring approach to patients and relatives

Experience of time management skills and prioritising work

Ability to take and record patient observations
