Desktop Support Engineer – HYBRID WORKING
We are working in partnership with one our of biggest customers looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer.
The Desktop Support Engineer is a split role covering our clients service centre along with one of their customers. The successful candidate will possess the ability to transfer between roles as requested and be comfortable in doing so.
The Skills required should either be in place or working towards either academically or through on the job training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Desktop and User Support
User Adpotion of the chosen technologies
Desktop and mobile device technical support
Create, deploy & test desktop images for corporate machines
Monitor the customers environment and operational systems thus responding to alerts and alarms as necessary to resolve problems efficiently.
Contribute to the Starters, Leavers and Movers account and equipment provisioning (PC, AD Account, IP Telephony setup, Mobile Phone, Office 365 etc)
SKILLS
Essential: M365 administration, Autopilot, Endpoint Manager, iOS, MS Office, Basic Active Directory
Desirable: File & Print management, Windows Server, Cisco Anyconnect
JOB SKILLS
Excellent Customer Facing and communication Skills
Good understanding of Microsoft software and applications on desktops / laptops
Microsoft Teams telephony and video conferencing
Understanding of Active Directory
Knowledge of Office 365, and hybrid environments
Basic networking understanding
Knowledge of file & printer services
Operational knowledge of Autopilot and Endpoint Manager
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proactive worker with the ability to work alone and within a team
Windows Server
MAC OSX
Windows 10/11
Meraki networking
AV support
Printers (fixing common problems)
Industry qualifications such as CompTIA A+, MS-900, MD-102
