An opportunity has arisen to join Eurostar as its Supply Chain Planner. You will be responsible for full end to end material availability process, from supplier Request From Quotation(RQF) through to material availability for production. The measurable reduction in Unsatisfied Demand and part shortages focusing on process improvement both internally and within the supply base.
The role is based in our Engineering Center in Leyton and will require business travel in the UK and on the Continent.

Requirements
We are looking for someone to...
- Ensure and coordinate the availability of the spare parts in line with stock strategy – consumable, local repairable (TMI) and international repairable.
- Manage consumable part availability.
- Attend daily supply chain meetings, providing key data and escalation information when required.
- Maintain Eurostar supply chain systems such as equinox.
- Address material shortages: identify problem, put in place mitigating action and follow up liaising with the required department.
- Identify error states and manage containment plan if not being managed by supplier.
- Work with suppliers to raise and expedite RFQ, challenging suppliers to support cost reduction.
- Raise PO(Purchase Orders) within equinox system, track PO status and expedite through to delivery.
- Arrange the receipt of the POs to enable invoices payment.
- Look into cost saving opportunities within the supply base.
- Support the engineering team to manage parts for modification and new part introduction.
- Act responsibly in all areas of Eurostar, taking ownership to understand and follow the company processes and polices.
- Identify root cause of issue and development of problem solving plans.
- Have financial control on Materials Spend: Budget tracking, invoice check.
- Support Supply Chain Team on SCO projects: Supplier consolidation, cost saving project
- Support Materials Team to cover leaves and peak activities: Legal Inventory, Stock Certificate, Mi-Vie support.
- Establish recovery plans with supplier to get back to planned shipment commitment.
- Record and monitor internal and external supply chain performance measures, resulting in KPI output and key areas for improvement.
- Be responsible to support additional stock holding facilities in UK and Continent regarding inventory accuracy and management of inventory.
