We're looking for a Synthetic Biologist to join our awesome team.
Your expertise in applying molecular biology techniques to mammalian systems will make you an essential member of our R&D team. You will work alongside a brilliant group of scientists, engineers and technicians, supporting our journey towards large-scale production of cultivated fat.
At every step, you will play a huge role in shaping the future of food.
As a synthetic biologist, you will collaborate closely with scientists on our Cells team to provide biological insights at every stage of our cell line development pipeline. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing experiments to validate our cell line engineering work, as well as characterising adipogenic cell lines generated by our R&D team. Your exceptional teamwork, attention to detail and reliability will make you an essential member of our team.
You should have:
A master's degree (or equivalent experience) in molecular biology, biochemistry, synthetic biology or a related discipline
Excellent knowledge of molecular and synthetic biology techniques
A talent for teamwork and collaboration
Enthusiasm, curiosity and attention to detail
Ideally you'll have experience in some, but not necessarily all, of the following areas:
PCR-based techniques
RNA/DNA extraction and purification
Cell line characterisation
Molecular cloning and sequencing
Mammalian cell culture
High-throughput screening
Automated liquid handling
