Job description

As the Superintendent Radiographer managing our General Radiography service you will play a crucial role leading the service working with and alongside direct team members including Consultant Radiologists , Clinical Governance and Radiography Education leads. You will also work closely with the Imaging Senior Management Team and Clinical Director of Imaging to ensure efficient and effective operational management and delivery of the current service and planning for future services.

The successful candidate will need to possess good interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. They will also need to be confident in their leadership and managerial abilities and experience to lead a large team, and must be passionate about delivering the very best standard of patient care.

Responsible for the leadership, management and operational effectiveness of the General Radiography service for the Imaging Directorate.

The post holder will demonstrate significant clinical experience in General Radiography and will be accountable for:

• Management of the team and resources
• Management of the waiting list and in-patient services
• Managing the recording of data to enable effective audit and monitoring of the operational effectiveness of the service
• Management of the quality and safety of the service and providing a governance framework to monitor this
• Financial management of the service budget.
