Our first area of focus was to help managers with Shareholding Disclosure, a complex regulatory problem without a decent solution in the market. We were first to licence legal information from aosphere, an affiliate of Allen & Overy, which underpins some of our rule packages. Since that time, our product has become the undisputed market leader for the management of Shareholding Disclosure. We have also added new ground-breaking services - Sensitive Industries and Position Limits - and in 2020 introduced Rapportr to make reporting simple for our clients.
In 2018, we became a Certified B Corporation and in 2019 were recognised as a B Corp 'Best for the World' Honoree - highlighting our commitment to doing good by our people, the environment and the community. What we're looking for
We're looking for motivated, intelligent individuals to join our close-knit engineering team. We are agile and pride ourselves in getting our engineers up and running fast.
In our application you’ll be asked to specify the length of internship you'd prefer (3 months or 6 months). If you have the willingness to learn and be an awesome teammate, we’d love to hear from you!
At FundApps you'll see the inner workings of a fast-growing, bootstrapped scale-up. You will have as much support and responsibilities as anyone else in the team, working on real-life problems. You’ll be an engineer first and foremost but if you want to expand your skillset beyond programming we’ll give you opportunities to get involved.
Past interns have worked on
- Our ground-breaking rules engine for monitoring investment compliance (Rapptr)
- Designing modern web experiences and APIs for our clients
- Collaborating with our Client Services team to build the features that our clients want
- Developing functionality across our stack, from AWS infrastructure to React components
What you can bring to the role
- Currently studying a computer science qualification or equivalent
- You have a passion for back-end related work, with experience in C# (or a desire to learn it and relevant experience in another language such as Java)
- Demonstrated ability to code
- Super hungry to learn software engineering practices and roll your sleeves up
Our core technologies
- Front-end: React, TypeScript
- Back-end: C#
- Data storage: PostgreSQL, SQL Server and S3.
- Infrastructure: Terraform and AWS, using Fargate, Lambda, Step functions, and a lot more!
- Pipeline: Github Actions, TeamCity and Octopus Deploy.
Salary: £35,000 per annum pro rata dependent on skill and experience.
