With significant and exciting investment and improvements planned for 2023, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Stores Manager to join our team and oversee our warehousing and inventory operations.
As Stores Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient management and organisation of our stores and inventory. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate stock availability, overseeing the receipt, storage and distribution of products, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective strategies and procedures for the management of stores and inventory.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection and proper storage of incoming goods.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all inventory transactions including stock adjustments, transfers and returns.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular counting and stock reconciliations.
- Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to forecast stock requirements to maintain optimal levels.
- Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and parts.
- Implement and enforce all safety practices within the stores and yard areas.
- Train and supervise stores colleagues, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities.
Experience
- Proven experience in stores management, inventory control or similar role.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience of supervising and motivating a team.
- Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with other departments within the business,
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with H&S regulations within a warehousing/yard environment.
Desirable
- Counterbalance/Reach truck licence.
- Experience of working within Lean/Six Sigma operating models.
- Experience of working within an ISO:9001 management framework.
