The Whisky Shop is the largest specialist retailer on the UK high street with 21 branches located from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands to London and Brighton in the south of England.
We are now very excited to be opening our 22nd shop due to begin trading in Leeds City Centre in early September.
We are looking for a dedicated and hard working full time retail manager for this brand new shop in where we expect to attract many types of whisky fans, from collectors and connoisseurs to those wanting to discover new brands and of course gift buyers too.
We pride ourselves on quality customer service to match the quality of the products we have to offer our clientele.
We are looking for someone with management experience in specialist retail or indeed a similar industry to ours, which could be in wine or spirits.
A knowledge of whisky would also be a benefit for this role.
Our manager will lead from the front with a dedication, first and foremost to customer service and to the the quality of retail required for such an important store. Merchandising, brand knowledge, general cleanliness of the store, staff development and communication with our Head Office team are all requirements of the role. The administration side of the role although fairly minimal will need to be carried out with care and on time .
We also have our own Whisky Club and host tasting events for our club members. nfidence in speaking to larger groups about whisky is a necessary skill for the role.
Furthermore we offer a mail order service, click and collect service and an on-line whisky auction which our store staff need to be involved with.
Our preferred candidate will possess a dedication and commitment to the role, a willingness to learn and take direction, be flexible enough to ensure the store will always operate as it should, have a personality and manner to ensure a good working team of staff and happy customers and ultimately have the enthusiasm for the shop, sales and our products.
