Job description
An exciting vacancy has arisen in our expanding stores department for a Stores Assistant within Snowdonia Fire & Security, a successful, family-owned company, based in Waunfawr near Caernarfon.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person with good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
The successful applicant will start as soon as possible and have a period of on the job training before taking responsibility for this role.
The role will involve the following:
- Raising and submitting purchase orders for suppliers for goods required
- Receiving goods in
- Raising returns as required for suppliers
- Issuing stock from requisitions and job sheets to engineers and calls on the in-house database
- Maintaining Product information on in-house database/Business Management system – current costs, selling prices, creating new items with preferred supplier etc.
The above list is not exhaustive, and the successful applicant will be expected to undertake other tasks as required to support the team.
Whilst preference will be given to applicants with previous experience and the following skills and experience, full training will be provided as required
- Understanding and experience of Stores/Stock Management
- Competence in use of Microsoft Word & Outlook
- Competence in database use
- Willingness and ability to undertake a variety of tasks and to pay attention to detail
