LOCATION: Based from our manufacturing base in Southern German, approximately 70km from Stuttgart – you will be based in the field for 80% of the week. There will be some international travel required.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Field Service Technician, Service Engineer
This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Field Service Technician with the drive and ambition to develop their career with a worldwide manufacturer supplying into the Aerospace, automotive and Oil and Gas industries.
This is an exciting opportunity based from our site in Southern Germany. We are looking for a customer-orientated service technician to strengthen our team to service our customers in Germany and also the EMEA region if required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Field Service Technician, Service Engineer
- New installation and commissioning of crack detection systems
- Training and instruction of the operating and maintenance staff at our customers sites
- Carrying out maintenance and calibration of the equipment
- Assembly preparation and completion within our manufacturing site
- Liaising with the customer Project and Service Managers when required
- Analysis and elimination of faults, maintenance, and implementation of electrical and mechanical repairs whilst on site
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Field Service Technician, Service Engineer
- You will have completed all your vocational training as an Industrial Electronics Technician, Energy Systems Technician or Mechatronics Technician
- Ideally have some field service experience, although not essential
- Experience of maintaining, service, or commissioning. Field based experienced would be preferable. However, we will also consider site based, looking for their first field role.
- Experience of reading drawings and circuit diagrams
- German driver’s License B is a mandatory requirement.
- German language and good level of English as a 2nd language
