About us
N & S Green is a small farming business in Herefordshire, HR1 4SP. We are currently rearing nearly 500 beef cattle on our farm, and aiming to start up calf rearing on the farm. We are looking for someone who is keen proactive and enjoys working with cattle/calves to join us.
We are looking for someone with passion for agriculture and animal husbandry. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team at Much Fawley Farm as a Beef Cattle and Calf Rearing Farm worker. In addition to assisting with cattle duties, there might be opportunities to contribute during peak seasons on the arable side of the farm. This could involve tasks like operating tractors and participating in spraying activities.

We take pride in our commitment to ethical and sustainable farming practices, prioritising the welfare of our livestock and the environment. We are currently operating a 500 herd beef, bed and breakfast, with goals to start up a calf rearing unit on farm as well.
Job Description:As a Beef Cattle and Calf Rearing Farm Specialist, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our farm. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Cattle Health and Welfare: Monitoring the health and well-being of cattle and calves, identifying and treating illnesses or injuries, and ensuring they receive appropriate vaccinations and veterinary care.
Feeding and Nutrition: Creating and implementing balanced feeding programs tailored to the specific needs of different age groups, ensuring optimal growth and overall health.
Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspecting and maintaining farm machinery, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure efficient farm operations.
Health and Safety: Complying with all safety protocols and promoting a safe work environment for yourself and other team members.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in beef cattle and calf rearing or relevant agricultural roles is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of cattle behaviour, health, and nutrition, preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Full Driving licence
