Sheffield Hallam University is looking for passionate and dedicated sport professionals to join our expanding Physical Activity and Sport Service – Sport Hallam.
We are recruiting a number of roles across our service to strengthen our sporting offer and the impact we make on our students, staff and local community. These roles span across our Sport Development and Sport Operations teams.
- Our Sport Development Team is responsible for developing a range of sports programmes, activities, and events to help deliver an outstanding student experience, from beginners right through to elite athletes.
- Our Sport Operations Team is responsible for delivering a quality user experience across our sport facility portfolio that includes our Sports Park, Athletics Stadium and two on campus gyms and sports halls.
You’ll join a large and dynamic team, where you’ll work with a wide range of people to create and deliver a diverse variety of opportunities, services and facilities to enable our students, staff and local community to positively connect with sport and physical activity, be active and support their wellbeing - with opportunities for development and progression.

The Role
Working as part of the Sport Development Team, you will be responsible for delivering a range of programmes and initiatives to engage our students, help them get active, make friends, and support their wellbeing.
Managing multiple priorities, you will be a confident communicator, with strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
Bring sport and physical activity to life, working with students to understand their expectations and create and deliver of programme of activities in line with this.
Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in your approach to your work along with proactively contributing to a can-do culture to improve the wellbeing of our students through sport and physical activity.
We are looking for an organised, team player who can work collaboratively and efficiently to achieve successful outcomes.
