ROLE TITLE: - Warehouse Operative
DEPARTMENT / FUNCTION: - Central Distribution Centre / Warehouse
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE: - To ensure all parts are picked correctly and delivered in a timely, safe and secure manner to the branches. Assisting in warehouse areas, preparing orders, cleaning and carrying out stocktake procedures as instructed by the Warehouse Manager, ensuring company satisfaction.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -
· Delivery of parts to EMS network of branches as and when required.
· Ensures the unloading and putting away of stock deliveries to the correct locations are carried out in a timely fashion, as directed by Warehouse Manager/Parts Supervisor.
· Ensure stock maintenance is kept in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, including the investigation, management and reporting of any discrepancies.
· Ensures the stores and outside areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and secure manner.
· Complies with all aspects of the Company’s Health and Safety policy and Risk Assessments, including manual handling activity and the wearing of PPE.
· Ensures the Company forklift is maintained and inspected in accordance with Company requirements.
· Administration of paperwork, including despatch notes and filing.
· To ensure high standard of personal appearance are adhered to at all times. Including the wearing of correct protective clothing.
· Flexibility and willingness to take on extra duties in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor as and when required.
· Willingness to carry out any other duties that safeguards the smooth running of the warehouse.
KEY SPECIALIST SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: -
· Working knowledge of commercial truck and trailer parts would be advantageous.
· Must be able to work to deadlines when under pressure.
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft excel.
· Ability to collate data for reporting capability.
· Ability to demonstrate a friendly and courteous manner towards work colleagues, work within a team, and on an individual basis.
· Possess an FLT Certificate

· U.K. driving licence
