Location - Portsmouth, Hampshire
Salary: £25,000 plus pension, 25 days holiday, life insurance and other benefits
Our client is a successful technical consultancy within the Defence, Space, Communications, Intelligence and Energy sectors.
Due to expansion, they have an exciting opportunity for a recent Graduate to work within Project Management. Full training and mentoring will be given. Excellent career prospects.
Qualifications for the role of Graduate:
- Candidates need to have a STEM based degree e.g., Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics etc.
- Have an interest within the defence sector.
- Strong numeral and analytical skills.
- Excellent IT literacy. Strong background in MS Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Live commutable distance from Portsmouth, driving license and own transport preferred.
- Happy to work on client sites when required for short periods.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a flexible, positive and self-motivated attitude which is necessary for working for a successful Consultancy.
- Bright, and keen to learn.
- Able to work individually and as part of a team.
You will be working within the P3M area
Supporting project teams through review of plans and proposals ensuring value for money and ensuring delivery of plans is as required.
Risk management, resource management, scheduling and monitoring and reporting on projects.
The P3M area can tailor solutions to the varying needs of their clients and can offer a wide range of services including:
- P3M Design, Implementation & Strategic Advice
- P3M Maturity Assessments
- Change Management & Transition Support
- Project Control services (Including scheduling, RAIDO, schedule risk analysis, EVM)
- PMO Improvement initiatives
- End-to-end project management & project leadership
- Bid Management, bid support & bid writing expertise.
- Collaboration & leadership
Due to the nature of the work within the defence sector, our client requires British Nationals able to obtain UK SC security clearance.
