We’re looking for a technically strong Software Development Manager, who is a natural leader with an enthusiasm for technology and strong knowledge in mission-critical software development. The successful candidate will lead planning, implementation and delivery activities with high-quality standards for Perforce’s Static Code Analysis tools. You will be responsible for on-time releases with high quality as well as hiring and retaining top talent.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of over 15 developers
- Drive the team to work efficiently and consistently following an Agile methodology
- Continuously improve all aspects of the development cycle
- Help design solutions, evaluate options, set technical direction and quality standards
- Work closely with key business stakeholders on building the technical and product roadmap
- Work closely with key business stakeholders ensuring customers’ expectations are met
Requirements:
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency.
- 5+ years of experience in management/leadership position preferably with technically complex products.
- Strong technical background in software development
- Experience working in Agile oriented organizations with a focus on fast pace delivery of new features
- Ability to work with Global Resources across different cultures and time zones.
- Strong communication skills, able to communicate with team members, executive leadership and customers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience to oversee department budgets and capital expenditures.
- Experience with coding standards such as MISRA, CERT C/C++, CWE and experience in working with regulatory bodies and audits is highly desirable.
