Job description

We're recruiting a Senior Software Developer to support the Power Platform Service.

We specialise in creating Power Apps solutions for our customers. We will encourage you to develop new and innovative ways to build solutions, and we will provide time and budget for your on-going training. Our team focuses on collaboration and communication, so you will be expected to take a proactive role in shaping the solutions we build.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with customers to build Power Platform solutions that meet their needs.
• Ensuring that solutions are developed following best practice and standards.
• Coaching and mentoring less experienced developers.
• Promoting the use of Microsoft Power Platform within Defra, being an energetic member of our community of practice.
• Innovating with the Power Platform to gain knowledge of new features.

Skills and Experience

• Experience of building with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dataverse.
• Basic understanding of Power BI reporting.
• Problem solving skills. The imagination, tenacity and intelligence to find the best solution.
• Proven experience working unsupervised but within a team environment.
• Ability to work well with members of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £37,295.00-£44,724.00 per year
